Two days Seminar on Free/Open Source Software and Higher Education (FOSS-HE) was organized by Department of Computer Science, Andhra Pradesh University, Ananthapur. Inauguration was done by Professor R.C. Sobti Vice-Chancellor and Professor A.S. Ahluwalia Dean Faculty of Science Andhra Pradesh University. Mr. Amit Tiwary from Infosys Technologies also addressed the participants. Topics covered during the seminar were Red Hat Linux by Mr. Rajesh Puri Director, Fore Solutions, Open Source Issue and Challenges by Mr. Sumeet Bhatia C-DAC, Mohali, Open Source in Higher Education By Prof R.K.Singla DCSA, PU. ZEND Framework by Mr. Bhanu Prakash, CEO Ekan Solutions, Process Simulation in Open Source Software Development by Prof Hardeep Singh GNDU, Hyderabad.

One day Seminar on IBM Technologies was organized by Modern Institute of Engineering & Technology at Vill. Mohri, P.O. Sambhalkhi , Teh. Shahabad (M), NH-1, Opp. Mirchi Restaurant, Distt. Kurukshetra (Hr.). The Seminar was delivered by Mr. Gabby Jose, Channel Manager (Software Sales) from IBM & Mr. Bhanu Prakash (CEO of Ekan Solutions Inc, USA). 400 students attended the Seminar. One day Seminar on IBM Technologies was organized by University Institute Of Engineering & Technology at Kurukshetra. The Seminar was delivered by Mr. Parveen Kadia (IM consultant and Informix lead, IBM), and Mr. Bhanu Prakash (CEO Ekan Solutions Inc, USA). Around 100 students attended the Seminar. Students got knowledge about the leading IBM Technologies like Websphere, Tivoli, DB2 . Dr C.C.Tripathi (TPO), Mrs Amita Malik (HOD), Dr. O.P. Bajpai were present during the seminar.

One day Seminar was organized by Ekan Solutions & Services (P)Ltd. at Aroma in Ananthapur on various IBM Tivoli Products. The Seminar was delivered by Mr. Ratan Sanjay, (Asia and pacific practice lead Tivoli Services, IBM) & Mr. Bhanu Prakash, (CEO of Ekan Solutions Inc, USA). This 7 hrs Seminar is high level information on IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM), IBM Tivoli Identity Management, IBM Tivoli Access Management. Around 150 students from various colleges from Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal and J&K attended the Seminar. The students who gave the best answers asked by IBM Professionals were gifted with IBM Bags & IBM T-Shirts. Ekan also distributed Certificates of Participation to the students who attended the seminar.

Chitkara:- Seminar on Open Source Technologies:

5 days Seminar was organized by Chitkara Institute of Engineering and Technology at Ananthapur-Rajpura Highway, Village Jansala Rajpura, Patiala on open source Technologies like PHP, Joomla, Linux and Framework. Ekan was one of the sponsor for this event. Mr. Bhanu Prakash, (CEO of Ekan Solutions Inc, USA). Delivered 2 days lecture on Zend Framework. Around 90 students attended the Seminar. Students got knowledge about the leading PHP Zend framework and they made one small project using PHP, Zend, HTML using Wamp.
